On November 28, 2022, NYU McSilver Institute Executive Director Rose Pierre-Louis moderated a panel at the second edition of the Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination, convened by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Mexico City, Mexico. The panel, “Catalyzing the debate to advance the rights of women, adolescents and girls,” was part of an expansive two-day (Nov. 28–29) agenda in support of a forward-looking theme: The Road towards a Rights-based Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic. Drawing on her own extensive career fighting for the eradication of violence against women and girls, Pierre-Louis facilitated a discussion with leading experts in psychology, youth advocacy, indigenous rights, and global philanthropy.
