CDC Appointed Dr. Michael A. Lindsey to Task Force, AFSP Elects Him to Board

The Director of the CDC appointed Dr. Michael A. Lindsey, McSilver Institute Executive Director, to serve a five-year term on the Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF), starting in January 2022.  The CPSTF is an independent, nonfederal panel of 15 public health and prevention experts that provides evidence-based recommendations about community preventive services, programs, and interventions aimed at improving population health.

Additionally, Dr. Lindsey was appointed to the national board of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), starting in January 2021.
