Veronica Vega is a licensed, Bilingual Clinician at McSilver Institute’s Safe Mothers, Safe Children (SMSC) project supporting women and families navigating child welfare systems via a trauma-informed approach.

Veronica is on track to obtain her Doctorate in Clinical Social Work (DSW) degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. Her area of focus aims to bridge the gap to equitable and safe perinatal healthcare.

Prior to joining McSilver, Veronica worked as a Psychotherapist for women and teens and has several years of experience promoting youth mental health efforts in New York City public schools. She is the Founder of a coaching and consulting platform that supports women’s wellness and motherhood through the pregnancy and postpartum periods utilizing integrative and holistic modalities to care.

She currently holds leadership roles as an Adjunct Professor at NYU, and is a Chapter Board Member at Postpartum Support International. Veronica is deeply committed to grassroots initiatives aimed to promote community healing, advocacy and reproductive justice.
