As part of the MCTAC team, Chiara coordinates and facilitates the development of trainings, tools, and resources to support ongoing behavioral healthcare transformation work across New York State. Her role includes communication with external partners, planning various events, and managing business deliverables. Chiara was formerly the Program Coordinator for the Community Technical Assistance Center (CTAC) team, one of MCTAC’s partner programs within the McSilver Institute.
Chiara received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elon University, with minors in Neuroscience and Leadership Studies. She has done a variety of volunteer work in the medical field, which has deepened her understanding of healthcare inequities and disparities.
At this time, Chiara is pursuing her MBA in the NYU Stern School of Business Langone Part-Time Program. Chiara is interested in how finances impact people’s access to and quality of healthcare, how assumptions about wealth show up in practice, and on a macro-level, how we can develop systems-level financial interventions, to assist individuals in having more equitable access to quality behavioral healthcare services. In this role, Chiara is working to enhance her knowledge of how policies and financial constructs have implications on the functionality of NY State healthcare systems.
