Sylvie Krause is a senior coordinator for the McSilver-led Managed Care Technical Assistance Center (MCTAC).

Previously, she worked at the Institute for Educational Leadership, supporting technical assistance efforts to help Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies better equip youth with disabilities for the workforce.

Sylvie earned her Master of Social Work from Columbia University, where she interned with the Urban Justice Center’s Mental Health Program. During her time there, she contributed to organizing efforts to end solitary confinement in New York State prisons, close Rikers, and expand mental health court exceptions. She continues to engage in these advocacy efforts as a volunteer. In addition, Sylvie has worked as a consultant for multiple organizations, promoting workplace wellness and leading webinars and presentations on reducing mental health stigma.

Before her graduate studies, Sylvie completed a year of service with AmeriCorps, leading an enrichment-focused after-school program at an elementary school in Washington, D.C. She has also worked with children with disabilities, refugee children, youth in the foster care system, and incarcerated individuals and their families.

Sylvie is passionate about social justice, racial and health equity, and public education that empowers providers to deliver more inclusive and effective care.
