
Hanaan Osman is the McSilver Institute’s Safe Mothers, Safe Children (SMSC) Program Manager. As part of the SMSC team, Hanaan oversees the day-to-day operations of the randomized controlled trial. Prior to joining McSilver, Hanaan received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
She previously worked in behavioral health research labs that aimed to advance health-equity and reduce racial/ethnic health disparities found in underserved communities both nationally and abroad. Her current research interests include identifying how socio-cultural factors impact the long-term mental health outcomes of youth and translating this knowledge to inform community-based interventions for families.
