From Screening to Care: Improving Outcomes for Women with HIV and Children Through Innovation and mHealth

This panel will feature NYU’s ACHIEVE Training Program visiting scholars. These three experts will present their pilot research projects and innovative approaches to enhance cancer screening among women living with HIV/AIDs, improve assessments and diagnoses of infectious diseases among children, and leverage mHealth to improve service delivery for HIV-exposed infants.

Please join us for these important presentations that showcase the critical work being done to save lives and shape the future of health outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa. The event will conclude with a question and answer session moderated by NYU McSilver Faculty Director Dr. Fred M. Ssewamala.

About ACHIEVE

ACHIEVE is an NIH-funded training program, which aims to provide rich career development opportunities for early-career researchers. Each year, NYU hosts several of the ACHIEVE scholars from partner institutions across sub-Saharan Africa. Working with their NYU mentors, scholars seek to grow their research skills, form productive cross-institutional collaborations, and expand their professional networks.

About the Event

This is a hybrid event, it will take place online via Zoom and in person at the NYU Silver School of Social Work’s Parlor (first floor). Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. The program will begin at 11:00 AM, and doors open by 10:45 AM.
