
Aida Y. Ortiz is a Parent Advocate, trained and credentialed by the Parent Empowerment Program (PEP) at the McSilver Institute. She works collaboratively with the McSilver Institute’s Clinical Education and Innovation Department (CEID), and Community Technical Assistance Center (CTAC) to identify, plan and implement a series of offerings in support of mental health providers and other related programs. She has also worked with curriculum development and group facilitation the Family and Food Matters, and the Family and Food Matters for Pregnant Woman studies.
Ortiz previously served as a Community Collaborative Board member and as an Assistant Community Coordinator for the CHAMPIONS Project, an HIV prevention program for youth that was driven by community members.
