On Thursday, March 14th, Peter Edelman, Georgetown University‚Äôs Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Law and Public Policy, sat down with Jennifer Jones Austin, CEO of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, to discuss his most recent book, Not A Crime to Be Poor: The Criminalization of Poverty in America. The talk, hosted by the McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research and the Strategies to Reduce Inequality Initiative, highlighted many of the injustices that poverty impacted individuals face and how we can end this devastating cycle.
